About us

We are committed to animal welfare and providing your pet with the best quality of life possible. That is why we offer up to date clinical knowledge and equipment to ensure the best outcome for your pet.

Our team are genuinely happy to come to work every day with the goal of creating strong and lasting relationships with Canberra’s pet owners. It is our delight to meet your new puppies and kittens and watch them grow into happy mature adults. We love teaching our clients how to best look after their pets to ensure their furry family members have long and happy lives. That is why we have a strong focus on preventative medicine so you can spend less time at the vets and more time at home enjoying your pets.

Melba Veterinary Clinic is pleased to serve Canberra, Belconnen, Gungahlin and surrounding areas.

Emma Bondarenko - Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing

Emma was born and raised in Canberra and after finishing college in 2009 went straight into studying veterinary nursing. Emma believes that this helps her provide nothing but the best care possible. This true passion and genuine care show through her smiling face welcoming pets and clients alike.

Outside of work Emma enjoys playing the piano, going for adventures to the beach and drinking copious amounts of coffee from her favourites around our beautiful national capital. Accompanying her you’ll find one (or more) of her three fur babies: Angel the Jack Russell cross, Rollo and Watson the miniature Dachshunds. Emma loves to stay fit and healthy, focusing on weight training at the gym, so she is strong enough to hold as many sausage dogs as possible at any given time.
